Comment:

when i play counterstrike in win2k, the computer displays a blue screen with small writing at the top. this happens fast and i cannot see what it says, the computer then makes 3 short beeps which are exactly the same and the computer restarts. I installed all the drivers correctly but i keep on getting this problem.

my specs are:

Intel Pentium 3 @ 800MHZ
288 MB SDRAM
32MB Nvidia Aladdin TNT2 onboard video
C-Media 8378 onboard Sound
30GB HD
Windows 2000 Professional (FAT32 file system)
NEC DV-5700B DVD drive

do you have the most current directx drivers? (i suggest 8.1)
then, make sure your directx drivers are compatable with your vid card drivers.

first, reinstall HL and CS, you might have jsut had a bad install.
