Hello all,

Whenever I try to install programs, I get the following message "The contents of this file cannot be unpacked. The executable you are attempting to run has been corrupted. Please obtain another copy of this file, verify its integrity, and try again"
It isn't just one particular program but many, however, I have tried those programs on other PC and they all working fine.
What programs ?? those are demo and trial programs, like Ulead,Norton ..etc and yes I have download them sucessfully.

My PC specs:
K7 1.4ghz on win2k Pro w/ SP2
512DDR RAM and plenty of free disk space.

thank you,

Kevin

Have you disabled your virus protection program before installing? Sometimes this has caused me the same error.

If possible, take a CDROM out of another machine that you can install the programs on and use that one in yours (assuming that is how you are installing the programs). If you are installing the programs from a server or your hard drive, then you may have a corrupt portion on your drive. Run some diagnostics and see what results you get from that.

This happened to me before, try getting the latest version of WinZip or whichever unzipping program you're using. Older versions don't seem to work well with new archive files.

I got same problem..
Looks like the machine is haveing trouble with cab files:
CAB file flashmx_trial_en.exe is corrupt

I downloaded this file from the macromedia server... A friend of mine did the same, and it worked on his machine..

winzip error:
winzip cannot open d:\downloads\flashmx_trial_en\disk1\data2.cab because its not in the standard Microsoft CAB format ( as defined in mid-1998 ). The "Signature bytes" required by the Microsoft CAB specifications are missing...

Tell me how to fix this please ?=:))
