Hi, I just installed Win2000 Pro on an AMD K6-2/400 sytem with 128MB Ram and everything went great. I then tried to install Paint Shop Pro and near completion I got a 5322(?) error and the installation was aborted. Since then anything I try to install doesn't work, I keep getting error messages saying that my file is corrupt or something similar. I tried installing the same files on another PC and they worked OK so the files are not really corrupt. What can possibly be cayusing this?..I'm sure someone must have experienced this. Please help me. Thanks. Oh, I don't know if it means anything but I also installed another 128MB SDRam, right after installing Win2K.

amazing what searching on microsoft does. Your error souce number is in their. heres the link http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q228369

Ross, thanks for your input but I read the article you mentioned and I couldn't find anything there. Maybe I got the error code wrong or something. Besides I'm not on NTFS. Thanks anyway. Ad00d i also tried your suggestion and deleted all files in the Temp folder, also the Temp in my Local Settings. There were a couple of files there which didn't want to erase and I had to do it in DOS. But still no luck. Any further suggestions are most welcome, because I'm desperate I cannot even install AVG!.. Thanks for your help.

Your memory module may be significant here. Sometimes there are conflicts between modules and they cause various errors, including page faults. It may be this that is preventing you installing AVG. It doesn't necessarily mean a module is corrupt, merely that it can't live with its neighbor.
Try removing the module. Then do a file search for all .zip files and see if that reveals anything.
Some anti-virus programs will identify corupt files in addition to viruses. If you can get one to run and do a total scan it should help.
You could unzip the PSP files on another machine and burn them to a CD then try installing from that.

Thanks guys for your help. I tried everything you suggested but no joy! I have decided to try one more installation and if it doesn't work I'll go back to Win98. Thanks anyways

Hallo again. I reinstalled Win2000 and I still keep getting the same error. It is 2355, and I have done some research on it and it seems it is quite common. The only trouble is that none of the solutions suggested have helped me. MS suggested installing SP2 and I did but it did no good. Any help out there, please?
