Try to use the scanpst.exe installed in your system. To find it use the search option on the Start Menu. Good look.

I am currently having the same problem. I have run scanpst several times and each time it tells me the pst file is not corrupt. Each time I reload the pst file and click on the folder, the hourglass just sits there and bangs away at the hard drive with no results. I have to use the Task Manager to quit Outlook. My pst size is just over 1 GB. Any help or suggestions (other than scanpst.exe) is appreciated.
