Copying from Cd-Rom to HD

Hello Everyone,

Why whenever i try to copy an movie to my computer i get this error " Cannot copy SpiderMan: Data Error (cylic redundancy check)

I'm going to guess that you are trying to copy a copy protected DVD to your computer, right? No can do, that's what the copy protection is all about. :)

And the file format of the DVD is different than that on the hard drive, hence the crc error.

What if the copying is not being done from a DVD, but rather a burned cd with mp3s on it? I get that error, but have never seen it until just recently. I'm running Win2k (freshly installed).

MP3 files should copy ok, if you get the crc errors alot or more often when copying regular data files then you may have a hardware problem about to happen. Either the hard drive or cd drive is about to go out.
