I want to format my HD and to reinstall OS (Win 2000), but I have not installation version of one important program. How can I make a copy of this program (with CD Brenner) and "instal" it again ? How to know which files (in windows and system directory) using that program? What about registry ? This is in Windows 2000.

Hi Ben,
What you want to do is something impossible (sorry). The installation program decompresses data, puts some data somewhere, modifies your parameters... and does many other things! So you can't just copy the installation directory of this program to backup the entire program. Some parts that this program uses can be anywhere else.
If there is an installation procedure, you have to install the program with it.
This program can do what you want: http://www.ontrack.com/easyuninstall/ It has a feature that can back up an installed program, and create a zipped install program including the necessary registry entries. It's also included in Ontrack System Suite 3.0. I saw a free program once that is supposed to do the same, but I haven't been able to find it.
