I am trying to copy files from a novell 5 server to a win2k server machine. I have 419000 files (5.2 gig). I have tried restoring from the tape drive, but can only get 650mb. When I try and copy from a mapped drive the copy runs fast for a while then bogs down. I can use microsoft backup on a mapped drive, but it says it will take 6 days. Any ideas on how to copy over these files. Can i put the novell drive in the windows pc. Thanks

No you can not put the netware drive in a local workstation. You can just copy from one server to another and just be patient. I would suggest you do this off peak usage time. Your backup should be able to restore cross platform so you might want to figure out why it can only do 650meg.
