I have about 700 Lotus Word Pro (.lwp) files which I need to convert to text documents, then combine all the documents into one, big text file.

You cannot load them into MS Word and then save them as text-only files? Maybe you should look at Microsoft's site to see if there is a convertor filter for MS Word that lets you do this.

You can convert indirectly using PsiWin 2.3, convert from WordPro to EPOC Word then back from EPOC Word to MS Word 2000 (or whatever). Works fine but will not import fancy graphics etc. PsWin 2.3 is a free download from psion.co.uk.
