Hi all.
I have FAT32 file system for my Win 2000 Pro and wish to convert to NFTS.
I went to the Microsoft site and noted the instructions which I followed.
As a result I received the following message:
"cannot find the utility library which contains CHDSK for the NFTS file system. This volume cannot be converted to NFTS"
How do I over come this?

Are you up on all the service packs?

Firstly, it's NTFS, NFTS. How exactly are you attempting to convert your file system?

Hi Jennifer.
I went to the Microsoft help site and followed the instructions as listed in Q156560 which states:
1.Click START, click PROGRAMS, and then click COMMAND PROMPT.
2. At the COMMAND PROMPT, type CONVERT[driveletter]: /FS:NTFS.
3.Convert.exe will attempt to convert the partition to NTFS.
And that is when the above error message comes up.
I only have one partition on C:/ drive.

Hi Jennifer.
That's what Q156560 told me to do, so I did it, and that's when the error message came up to indicate,(well at least to me)that it should have worked had it not been for not finding the utility for CHKDSK. :-)
