Hi everyone,
I wonder if there is a way for me to convert Dynamic IP into Static IP ?
second: Can i connect multiple computer on a Dynamic IP with out a ROUTER ? I do have a Swtiches and HUB, but not the ROUTER, So i wonder if there is a way to do this WITHOUT the ROUTER for Multiple Computer. Thanks

Sure, to use a static IP, just go to the properties of TCP/IP by right clicking on Network Places and check the button to manually enter your IP information. That is a static IP instead of 'obtaining IP automatically' which is what is probably set right now.
As far as the router goes... I'm not sure if you need a router or not. If your computers are all on the same network - that is if the are not in different cities for example, then a hub or switch will work fine. The router is used to route the network traffic to other subnets. If this is just a few computers within your house then using a hub or switch should work fine. Just plug them in and make sure you have valid IP address and a valid subnet mask. If you don't need the router as described above, you can leave the Default Gateway address blank.

If the dynamic IP you are talking about is assigned by your ISP then no you can not make it static. However you can use a service like dyndns.org to give you a name like myname.dyndns.org that will update itself should your IP change.
Some ISPs also limit the number of IP's you may have at any time and make you pay for extra ones. If you can't connect more than one PC through your cable modem(?) and have them all access the internet then this is the case and you will need to have either a router to provide NAT or you have to set up one of your computers as a DHCP server for the other computers on your lan.
