Hi I downloaded Tweak UI and everything was going well, but now my control panel has disappeared! Also, control panel-related functions (like Display, system properties) are disabled. For instance, when I rightclick on My Computer and choose properties, I get the error "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator." The error appears twice. But I'm the only user so I guess I'm the administrator.... I think it has something to do with the changes I made with Tweak UI, but since it is only available through the Control Panel I can't undo them... Anybody has an idea about what I should do? Thanks

have You logged in as administrator ? the account you have logged in with, may have restrictions. administrator should be there by default (i think)

Yeah I know... Judging by my description you would think that I wasn't logged on as administrator, and that the problem was easy to solve. But unfortunately that's not the case, there is only one user on my system and that's the administrator (at least it says administrator when I log in). So it must be something else? Is there a way to manage the user restrictions? Please if anyone knows something I don't know tell me, cause I'm new to this W2K thing...

Go into TweakUI and enable everything under control panel. There is probably a setting to remove it. I doubt it has disappeared. After you get it back be selective in what you add/remove.

Thanks for the reply... But that's the whole problem: I cannot access TweakUI anymore because of the restriction error, so I cannot undo anything I did wrong! Is there another way to open TweakUI?
