Hello, Here's my problem. Everything was working fine on my computer, until last Saturday, when I took my computer to my friend's house. I tried to install a Sandisk USB Wireless stick, to connet to his home network, which never actually worked. I uninstalled, and took my computer back home. Now, I can't connect to the internet. I use a 4 port hub/router and connect through cable modem. I have a static IP (each of the 3 computers connected to the router does), and we all use the same DNS. From the command prompt, I can ping the router (ping 192.168.1.1), and it's fine, but when I ping a website (ping www.yahoo.com) it doesn't find it. When I open my browser, it says "cannot find www.yahoo.com". I think the wireless thing that I tried to use somehow overtook my dns settings or something. Please help... I'm getting desparate.
