Computer wont boot up

Monday we got high speed internet installed and we had to delete some programs to give more rom to the internet and i went to restart the computer and ti shut down just fine but then when it began to restart it ddi get pass the "windows starting up" screen and just sits there for approx 15 min untill a box pops up and says that "THISCOMPUTER" is not availabe. so how do i get my computer to start up again. i havent even got to test out my new internet... :-(

What programs did you delete? If you uninstalled them using the uninstaller, there should be no problem. But if you just deleted the program files, that could have caused problems.

If it won't boot up properly... run a repair routine and allow it to check (and restore as needs-be) system-files.

you probably deleted sumtin from the winnt folder and if you did that is bad. if you have the windows 2000 professional cd. put the cd in your comp when it starts up and you can boot from anykey and when it loads there is an option where it says to repair your version of windows 2000 pro
