About a month ago I installed a new power supply and now occasionally the machine won't post. The fan turns on and all the peripherals light up but it won't post and boot up. All I have to do is hit the restart button and it always posts on this second try.
This only seems to happen when the computer has been shut down for more than a couple hours. If I shut down and start up again, it posts on the first try.

this is just a speculation, I have no deffinite answer, but perhaps you could try replacing that little watch battery on the motherboard.
