I have recently update my computer from 98SE to 2000 Pro. Now that i have done so, my display is stuck in 800x600 resolution and 16 colors. I had this problem with my compaq presario running ME and it was resolved using this command for QuickRestore.
D:\CPQS\QRIA\CPQS\QUICKSR\QRIA.exe 227369-B2AI tried this on my 2000 computer, but that file does not exist. Is there a different command for 2000?

You need to install the drivers for the graphics. Probably many other devices too. Visit The Compaq site to get the correct drivers.

the compaq website doesn't have the required driver, and their customer support sent me to a site that doesnt exist

If Compaq didn't offer Win2000 on that model or a similiar one you may need to obtain more generic drivers. You need to determine what integrated graphic chip is on your Motherboard, along with other devices that may be disabled now due to driver issues.
If you are lucky Win2000 may have identified any devices that you have but not had a driver to install. If that is the case the device may be listed in Device manager with a yellow exclamation point next to it. Chances are you have an Intel graphics chip of some vintage. Look in device manager. Or download Everest Home to identify hardware devices.

The graphics are a VIA/Trident, info tool from
should identify actual model.

I have previously found researching this Presario 7360 model that it can have two different mboards, and that isn't clear on the Compaq site.
One of them is the same series as used for the Presario 74xx series - OEM of Mitac 5114vu.
It has PWA-PWA-Camaro or PWA-TWA-Camaro printed directly on the mboard, and if in a Compaq, has a stuck on Compaq (yellow?) label that says CAMARO on it.It is also possible you have the other mboard - OEM of Gigabyte GA-5SMM.
It probably has GA-5SMM printed directly on the mboard somewhhere.
.......Camaro mboard series (at least two revisions possible - may have three ram slots, or two ram slots with the third one missing but the solder dots are there).
Pictures - two different possible Compaq part numbers (may be others):

mboard without cpu
http://partsurfer.hp.com/cgi-bin/sp...If that's what you have, the second audio driver at the first location pointed to by Walter is probably the one for your mboard; the main chipset drivers and integrated video drivers are not on that page; I don't why a PCtel modem driver is listed at all.
Via MVP4 chipset - IDE, AGP, drivers etc.
4-in-1 drivers here (Hyperion) (if your Operating System is Windows)
see note about Win 95/98/98SE (use older driver versions)

VGA and Audio drivers for 2000 are listed - the chipset ans ATA drivers may be automatically found by 2000.
Only the bios update is different. It is NOT recommended you use it unless you can be SURE it's flash utility flashes the whole bios including the boot block - otherwise your computer may not boot after you flash the bios.

Does anyone have the driver for
Trident Video Accelerator CyberBlade-i7 5.0.2145.32
This is the driver i need, but i cant find a download site that has it, and the one i can find doesnt work

See
"video driver for the PWA.....Camaro motherboard..." etc. in response 5 - that's the same thing. You can use Cyberblade drivers as well, but from feedback I've heard there is little if any difference, and they do not improve DVD playback.
