Hi, I had my screen set on 800x600 then i put it at 1024x768. While it was on that i changed my color settings from 16bit to 32bit. Then I didnt like my screen big so I put it back at 800x600 and put the color settings back at 16bit and tried playing a game and no games will work now. I uninstalled them but they still will not work. Anyone know what to do about this and how to get games to work. thanks -Joe

Your post is a little confusing. I assume your mean that you unistalled and then reinstalled the games in question. While you were at the higher resolution and color depth did you play any of these games? When you say the games won't work, what exactly do you mean?

I did not play any games with the higher resolution. And when I say the games don't work i mean the screen goes black and i get sound but no picture and a few games will not open at all.

I would suggest that you re-install your graphics card drivers. The way to do that is to first change your display type to Std. VGA. GO> Start> Settings> Control panel> Display> Settings> Advanced> Adapter> Change> Next> select "display a list ***"> select "show all hardware"> select on left (Standard display types)/ on right standard display adapter> Next> Yes. Then reboot. Windows should find new hardware and ask for the files for this device. Supply the installation disk and path for your card. If you don't have that info, download it before hand. If you don't know that video card you have, download and install aida32. It will give you that info. Find it at: aida.hu

Hi, I just reinstalled my drivers and tried playing Postal 2 and heres what it said :Error setting display mode: CreateDevice failed (8007000E). If you just started the game then delete your 'Postal2.ini' file and try again. Otherwise check the Tech Support web site.

History: UD3DRenderDevice::UnSetRes <- CreateDevice <- UD3DRenderDevice::SetRes <- UWindowsViewport::TryRenderDevice <- UWindowsViewport::OpenWindow <- UGameEngine::Init <- InitEngine

I am not a gamer so I am not sure about the games but I suggest that you uninstall the games that don't work right, using the uninstall option in the game folder. Download and install the registry cleaner that I have listed below. Run the program to clean up orphan registry files. Reboot and reinstall the games. If problems still persist, check with tech support for the game in question.
