when i turn on my pc (win2k pro) i get the blinking screen ..c:\winnt\system32\cmd.exe

when i search cmd in c and delete it, it stops. when i log out and log back in it is there again and screen blinks again.

any suggestions?

cmd.exe opens the command prompt window (DOSwindow). everytime you delete it Win2K will recreate it when you reboot. you may want to update your virus software & definition files, then run a full scan.

I know what's the problem, To solve this problem you will need to your registry. Follow the next steps:

Run>>type: regedit>>open H_Key_Local Machine>>software>>microsoft>>Windows>>Current User>>Run>>> Highlight run, and then on the right pane, you will find the cmd.exe. If you can't find it, just double click each of them until you find it, then delete the string with the path. That's it!!!!
