I'm having lots of trouble connecting a client to the Internet. I've tried everything. Basically, if you ask me something I've more than likely tried it before. I ran a IP scanning tool that apparently thoroughly scanned my network. I ran it on both computers, and as I imagined, the results were not the same, otherwise the network would work. I saved the results to different files for both computers then I ran FC to compare both files and I noticed several differences between the two files. Now, I need someone that is patient and that can help me out. I really need to get this straightened out. This started about a week ago and prior to this everything was fine, and as far as I can tell nothing was done to either computers. If someone can read over the comparison I have of the results of both systems and tell me what they think is happening I will be very greatful. I really need help and there is no way I will ever figure this out. I really hope someone can help me out there. From what I can tell everything is setup properly, considering a week ago everything was working fine and as I was saying before nothing has been changed. So here is the comparison of the results:

I am not sure what all that info means or where it starts and ends but I'm pretty sure i can help you.

How is the machine connecting to the "internet"?
Are you going through a router? Switch? Dial out? DSL?

Are there other machines on the same network that can get to the internet?

Are you using Internet Connection Sharing on one of the machines?

Give me an idea of what your network looks like, and how you are connecting to the internet.

They are connected through a router. Both machines are on the same network. Only one of the two systems can connect to the Internet. Both systems can "see" each other on the network. Both systems are running Windows 2000 Pro. The router is connected to a cable modem.
