Reply: (edit)Your Ip address is assigned to you when you connect to your ISP through dial up. It will most likley change if you disconnect and reconnect.

Reply: (edit)you might be thinking of the IPConfig /Release and IPconfig /renew commands. They can be used, in order, after clicking Start, Run, and typing CMD then clicking OK

Reply: (edit)Wanting to change it is a long story. To make it short, I made a mistake at least a year ago and was new to Ebay. One of my jobs at my old job was to maintain their Ebay account. In the process, I created an account from home too and made the mistake of bidding on my own items that I listed from work to prompt bidding. I didn't know it was such a big no no at the time. Nevertheless, they will not let me open a new account. From work I maintained that account and read up on all the guidelines and rules, and never violated another rule. However, begging and pleading with them didn't work and they will not let me open an account or reopen my last account. So, I was told that I need to change my IP address to register a new account.

Reply: (edit)shell, You can quit wasting time on IP changes. If you're dialing up, it's a;most a dead sure bet that you get a dynamic Ip. The issue you need to work is a new identity. M2

Reply: (edit)The simple solution is to get a new ISP and create the ebay account from there. This will provide you with an entirely different IP address from your present ISP.
