I installed Windows 2000 Professional in this Windows ME computer, then because the sound chip (embedded in the mother board) wouldn't work, I installed a Creative Sound Card. Now my CD RW drives won't work. When I try to read a CD I've written on, I get a message on screen, "D:\is not accessible. Incorrect function."
Is there a workaround? Or a driver I can download to make this thing work right?

Make sure you don't have any conflicts in Device Manager. Then try REinstalling your CD writer software....

I have Windows 2000 and when I did my install, all my hardware, including my CD-RW and on-board sound, was found and correctly setup without an issues. I think your best bet is to re-format your hard drive and start from there instead of the upgrade from ME. I think that is where a lot of your issues are... in that UPGRADE.
