On making my own discs to save files, songs etc with my Samsung CD-RW I now find that the disc will not eject with either the button on the drive itself or by using the 'right click' select eject option in explorer. I have downloaded the drivers for Win2k for it, but no improvement. My CD-RW will eject 'genuine discs' without any trouble, any ideas for this problem? Thanks in anticipation, Steve M

If you have an icon for the disc writing programme in the right hand bottom tray, try right clicking on it and selecting eject. This works for Adaptec DirectCD Good luck

I know you didn't ask for the advice but, if you have the Adaptec icon in your system tray when you boot up, you're wasting system resources. You might want to use msconfig to keep it from loading at startup and put a shortcut to the program on either your desktop or quicklaunch bar. Use it when you WANT to! :-)
