cant switch workgroup to domain

I have a PC im working on but when i try to switch my workgroup to a Domain, the options arent highlighted and it says I need to intall networking, i go to add/remove programs and i install all networking resources but it still doesnt work any ideas???...Jim

Found it Client for Microsoft Networks wasnt installed
