I am running win2k pro and I am having problems with some applications. When I log in with administrative rights, every thing works fine, but if any normal or power users log in, things don't work. Specifically, the programs will not start, will give a "the memory cannot be 'read'" error, or not be able to find the CD Rom even tho the disk is in the drive. (If anybody has Tiberian Sun, try it as non-admin and see). The priveleges on the files are correct (as far as I know, everybody has read, write, and execute). Does anybody have any ideas? This is mostly a problem with games, but other things are affected too.

Is it necessary that your users not have Administrator rights ? I asume that it is a home PC and information on it is not "Mission Critical"... Perhaps you should try Disabling "Users must enter a user name and Password to use this compter" in the User names and passwords on the Control Panel !
Cheers

Try copying all of the files except for the two ntuser.dat files located in the administrator profiles folder to the profiles folder of the user you created.
