Can't restart SPOOL and FAX Service

Can't get the Print Spooler service to re-start or the Fax Service to re-start. When starting the Fax service I get an "Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start." When I try to start the Print Spooler service I get the following error: Error 1075: The dependency service does not exist or has been marked for deletion” I’ve made sure that all the dependencies listed under both services was restarted, but I still get the error message. I've tried starting the services from the cmd line, but to no avail. This dilemma started when I removed the LexBceS driver from the list of running processes in Task Manager and I think I unintentionally removed the spooler service as well or it stopped when I removed LexBceS driver – not for sure. I tried re-installing my printer software, but portions of it fail because I don't have printer subsystems running. I've tried to restart the LexBceS, but it wouldn't start. What can I do to restart the services or are there hidden dependencies that I don't about that need to be restarted? I am running Win2K Prof on a Celeron 750 Thanks in advance. Sam

Reade Thanks for the link. It led me to the answer, which was to go to the registry and remove the spooler dependency to the LexBceS driver. Thanks a million
