Can't resolve domain name in Win2k

I am able to ping an IP that is on the internet. Although I can't put that IP into my browser and browse by IP. I can't ping a domain name but my DNS is set properly and they are up and running. I just uninstalled a program called webHancer (not sure how it got installed) but after that I wasn't able to browse. I'm thinking its a wsock32.dll/winsock.dll but in 2000 I'm not sure how to replace these files. I tried to reinstall win2k over the top of my current installation but that didn't work. Any suggestions? Please E-mail me or just reply to this message

First off what type of connection are you operating through? Dial-up, cable modem, dsl, etc. If you're going through a NIC, and sending DHCP requests, I'll assume that you're obtaining an address, it should automatically obtain your DNS servers, DHCP server, etc. etc. If everything seems to be setup right, I'd call the ISP, could be their fault as well.
