Can't recognize CD-ROM

I installed a network card and now my computer won't recognize my two CD-ROM drives. Things worked for awhile and then I got a message that I unplugged them improperly. I was just sitting there doing nothing when that happened. I checked all the connections and everything is connected. The drives are not showing up on My Computer and they won't play an audio CD when I stick one in. Any Thoughts?

So both are not recognized right now? What happens if you remove the network card?
