No matter what program I use to play video files, I get a blue screen with KMODE EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED. Any ideas?

Try these :
Disable video acceleration.

Uninstall NetMeeting.

Switch to the VGA or SVGA video adapter driver if either is compatible.

If it still doesn't work then reinstall your video card.
