I shut down my desktop last week before going on vacation - Came back last night and now I can't log on!!! I am the only user so I left the default log in "Administrator" with a simple password. No matter what I try, I keep getting same error - "Password does not match, blah, blah, blah." I can't even get in using Safe Mode. Everything was just peachy before I left, and my shutdown was smooth - No Runs, Drips or Errors...
(Fortunately, I have a backup PC...)

reset your admin password with a linux bootdisk. You are typing the wrong password. Is caps turned on? Is numlock turned on? scrool lock on?? something like that will be the problem

Thanks for the ideas - However, I know what my password is, or rather, what it used to be... and I have checked the CAPS, SCROLL, etc.

The linux boot disk is a good idea
