OS: win 98, 2000 xp
CPU/Ram: p4, 256mb ram
Comment:

I can't load any OS on my systems.
for example- win , 98, 2000 and XP- its gets to setup and get stuck.
I loaded win 98 on a Hard drive from another system
and it hangs on putting into my system.

I did recently removed the processor and did put it back after 3 days.
could it be processor problem?

Thanks

I have found, 98 percent of the time, when an OS installation hangs, it is because of hardware (PCI card, modem, other device).

When you pull the PCI cards, and set the BIOS back to defaults (or disable extra PCI hardware in the BIOS) things usually work fine.

The fact that you monkeyed with it and now it doesn't work indicates to me that YOU did something. Recheck all connections you touched. In fact, check them ALL.

It was a memory problem and you removed the processor and discovered that? I don't follow.

You can avoid many of these Windows problems with Linux. Linspire eases the transition for new users
