I have Win ME right now and I'm installing a Clean Copy of
Windows 2000 on a seperate partition. I tried installing
Win 2k via windows, after it has done copying the setup
files, and reboot to continue the installing in DOS, i get
an error. I went through the selecting which partition to
install the new OS to, and then when it gets to Checking
the drive for any defects or error i get an error message
that says drive C: is corrupt and can't load boot loader,
and it exits the installation. Drive C: is where WIN ME
resides and i want to install Win2K on D:, which i picked
for the installation.
I went back and did a thorough scan of C: and D: and the
whole drive and still couldn't find any errors. I even DL
the software from the Hard Drive's manufacture and did a
complete scan test, still, no error.
Please Help.

That's because you didn't boot the machine correctly to begin with. Wipe out the second partiton and recreate it (or create it when you install Windows 2000) and then boot from the Windows 2000 CD. Install onto your second partition and then just follow the directions......
