Hi, in my office we run win 2000. I recently bought a game (Diablo) in soldout and tryed it in office. But I can't install it. Windows NT 4.0 is supported, but if I try to install the only thing happens is that the spalsh screen reapears.
Is any way to play this game from CD. Or is any way to get installed game and copy it to my harddrive (somewhare on the internet)? I think it is not piracy, because game still require CD to work...
BTW I think the problem is that I am only common user on Win and installation may require admin... But I am sure, that it not write to registers or something...
It's Diablo I and I am running Pentium 4 - 1,7 GHz, 256 MB Ram, DirectX 8.0, Rage 128 Pro GL graphic card. I'm sur it is enough.
I didn't get any error message.
Here is step-by-step what happens:
1. I iserted CD 2. Autorun executed, screen with these option appeard> a/ install and play Diablo b/ install spawned diablo c/ view blizzard demo d/ test your pc e/ sign up for internet f/ install direct x 3.0
3. I first tryed d/ to test pc. All checks was ok 4. Then I tryed to install and play Diablo (a) 5. Nothing happns. only this screen reapeared.

Sounds like you are restricted by a group policy. You probobaly need to be added into the administrators group on the local machine. Or at least power-users. Your IT department may raise an eyebrow when you ask this of them..hehe
