I want to get to the command prompt before windows 2000 boots. It only offers you the command prompt in safe mode. How do you do it?

sorry, MS didnt oblige you and include some crappy old win 9x based code :) Windows 2000 is windows NT 5, and has no dos or anything...the only command prompt like thing you could access is the recovery console. good luck :)

The command prompt in Win2K is just a program like all others. The program (CMD.EXE) can only be executed from Win2K.

Basically the same as above with a 98 Boot Disk except when you get the ON screen Menu to Boot, just hit 'Shift & F5" and that should take you to the command prompt.
