Comment:

I cannot get chkdsk to operate at boot up. I cannot get my disk to defrag until I can run chkdsk at boot up. So this is driving me crazy, because this is a fresh install on a new 160 gig hd, and I really need to run the defrag. Any knowledgeable assistance will greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

what do you mean you can't run chkdsk on boot?

Have you gone to a cmd prompt and typed chkdsk /f and said yes to run check disk at next boot?

You might get more help if you'd answer Wanderer's question. If you don't know what command prompt is, at least say so!

I reiterate, "any knowledgeable assistance will be appreciated". If you don't have anything useful to contribute little "dick", get out of the way! The initial question is self-explanatory. If you're asking questions, you obviously don't have the answer. Think about it. There is an old saying in the medical field, that "a little common sense goes a long way - dick.

Thanks!

I received the information I needed from a more creative thinking knowledge base.

Go look at your previous message post and then go look in the mirror - "dick".
