I can't delete three dll's that are screwing up my coreldraw re-installation. I've tried editing the registry; re-booting; going into DOS mode; going into safe mode; removing sharing for the drive; re-installing the files; duplicating the files .. uhh .. I think that's about it. Oh I've tried using something called "Eraser" which couldn't get access either..I'm really going to switch to Linux this time!

Try renaming dll's (by adding old), then delete.

Also check if you have the permission to delete the file.
cacls x.dll
if not ( add administrators group )
cacls x.dll /e /p Administrators:F
if still unable you can try to clean the dll from any content
echo "I dont want you!" > x.dll

Posting twice was a mistake..don't know how it happened.. anyway, it won't let me rename the files or replace them in any way..
if I understand your next suggestion: open the dll's in notepad for example and delete all the lines and save the files back under their same names? interesting idea. I'll try it.
