Can't delete

-Another poster said they keep getting ".BAK" files created after modifying some files, and they don't know where the ".BAK" files are coming from. -I have this problem too, only once the ".BAK" file is present, I can't delete it, or modify the file it emulates! I've been around the permissions/security turnstile so many times, I'm dizzy..! HELP!!

The BAK files are written by default every time you boot your computer. BAK, stands for backup. It is how you can restore your system if something messes up while you are booted. You are acting a fool if you are chasing BAK files around trying to delete them. Leave them alone unless you are prepared to reinstall each time you encounter a small problem.
