I can't seem to be able to "copy and paste", or "drag and drop" files from one folder to another. I can't even do it from a cd to a folder.

I just installed Windows 2000 Professional on a computer I built last night. I don't have internet access yet, but I did have the SP3 burned onto a disk as well as other updates and drivers. The only thing I couldn't update was Internet Explorer and Outlook Express (to version 6)because the files I downloaded were the web installers. Would this make the difference? Or is something else going on? Please help. Thanks!!

If you have your Desktop enabled to be viewed as a Web Page, you may have to go into the IE Security settings and put a check mark in the box that allows drog and drop.

I tried that but it says "enabled" for the copy and paste function. Thanks anyway.
