I have a system that loses all ability to copy and paste. you can't copy and paste anything at all anywhere. sometimes restarting fixes it, but not for long. its windows 2000. this is really annoying. any ideas?

My idea is you have a virus or malware. Do a scan in Safe mode with anti-virus and/or malware scanners such as "Ad-Aware".

If you can copy/paste in Safe mode, then you probably have the above issue.
