Hi, I need help in changing the pixel settings. The bar will not move and at the moment everything is at the largest it can be. Because of this we are unable to load certain games we have brought because of the resolution and nothing will fit on the screen. I hope I am making sense, I am an amateur and would really appreciate some help! I am told that I need a certain driver that I need to install but do not know which one or how to do it.

Thanks Tracey

You might have the wrong video card selected in the device manager. I'd recommend removing the display adapter in device manager. Boot the computer and see if Windows finds the video card. If it doesn't detect it, it isn't plug & play. In that case, turn off the computer, unplug it, open the case, and see if you can find the brand and model on your video card. It is the card that the monitor plugs into. Alternatively, the name of the video adapter is usually displayed when you boot the computer. Write down the brand and model. Close the case and boot the computer. Go to device manager and add a new device. Go through the wizard to add a non-plug&play device. Select Display Adapter as the type and find your brand and model in the list. If it isn't there you will have to download the driver from the Internet. Search for the company that makes your video card and see if they have a website.

If you think the right video card is already installed, right click on a blank area of your desktop and select properties...or click on Display in Control Panel. Adjust the number of colors to see if it will let you change the resolution. You can also click on the Advanced button and change the font size to see if that has any effect. You need to go to a higher resolution to see more of your game on the screen...but you need to make sure that your monitor supports that resolution. You didn't provide much information about your operating system version, monitor type, monitor size and resolution, etc. Good luck fixing your problem.
