Can't Boot

After installing Norton Antivirus, upon restart I receive the Following error message: Load Error! Press a key to reboot. Over and over same message. Can't load Windows. Problem is that the Kids destroyed my re-install discs and I'm lost. Any help greatly appreciated.

At what point during the boot process do you get this message?
If you get far enough you should still be able to boot into safe mode. You can do this by pressing the f8 key during the boot sequence. If you succeed in doing so, then once in safe mode uninstall Norton, reboot and see what happens?
Hope this help.

Sampson. That's the big problem. The error message appears before the F8 message appears. When I try and boot from the CD ROM, the same message appears. I have a copy of 98 I would like to install, but I can't even get the CD-ROM to boot. I just installed the removable floppy, but I need a startup floppy to run it. My fault for not making a backup disc. Didn't realize the kids destroyed CD until this problem happened. I'm stuck... Thanks for the reply..
