I removed win2000 pro from win NT 4.0 domain and joined it to a workgroup. after restarting the computer the operating system is working but I can not log in (not with the user account and not with the administrator account, though the user name and password are correct). I am getting the following massage: "The System cannot log you on..."
yes. In addition, it does not enable logging to domail but only locally.

I answered your other post, but I'll put it here too.
Logging into the Domain is different than logging into the workstation. You have different profiles.
When the machine is on the Domain, you have the choice of logging on locally or logging onto the Domain.
Since you removed the machine from the Domain, you need to use the local login. The Domain accounts will no longer work.

Jennifer is right. The account you need to logon with is the administrator account that was used when the OS was loaded. The password that you will put in will be the password for that local administrator account. The domain accounts that you are trying are not going to help you.
