My Win2k laptop has recently developed a problem. When I try to run a program it displays the message "Cannot find the file 'C:\winnt\system32\calc.exe' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all required libraries are available."

This is after double-clicking calc.exe in Explorer, so I know the location is accurate.

Most of Office still seems to be working and I can sometimes 'trick' programs into running by using the "open with..." dialog box.

Any ideas?

Yeah. I managed to trick the system into running a virus scanner. The thing was infest with Klez. I've downloaded the Klez repair program and things are better, but not working properly.
