Comment:
I have a Win2000 SP3 machine that has the folowing problem:
a .js file in one of the folders will not delete. When you go to delete (either using DOS Prompt or Edit>Delete) it will give you an error saying that "File not found." However the file is there in the folder w/ file size given and other info. I need to delete this file because it is stopping my fixes(FixBlast& FixSoFBig) for the worms that have been going around . Thank you for your help

You could try something like using the disk cleanup utilities on the programs/accessories/system tools. If you do not have the win2000 set as NTFS you may be able to use an older win98 boot disk and go to the directory it is in and delete it there.

First, you will need to make the .JS file. This file will only contain JavaScript or JScript code. You do not need to include the tag within this file. If you do, then you will get an error. This file will, of course, need the .JS file extension. Here is an example of a test .JS file:
Looks like you may have JavaScript running. Do you have your desktop set up like a web page or is it just the generic conventional windows. You might want to set your desktop to not run internet explorer/netscape/mozilla. as this is where the file would appear most.
Don't know wether this will help or not. Got some info on .js files by doing a "google" search. r
