Cannot delete file: Cannot read fro

Get this error when I try to delete certain folders. These folders have "lost" their ownership, and when I click properties, there is no security tab. Tried using DIR /X but there is no 8.3 name. Any ideas what could be the cause and how I can fix this? Am about to try CHKDSK /F and reboot the machine tonight, not sure if that will fix anything though..

er, full error message is this: Cannot delete file: Cannot read from the source file or disk. P.s. When I try to modify the folder in any way, I get Error: Access Denied

Login with Admin privileges and take ownership of the folder/files. You can then delete what you need to.

If you can't see a Security Tab that is 99% of the time a sign that you are in FAT32 and not NTFS. Verify your file structure :)

I'm already admin, and yes it is NTFS.
