I'm so frustrated!! Posting this from my iPhone:(
I have an older (2003?) Dell computer running
on windows 2000. I have checked with my
cable company to ensure a signal, modem is
fine and been reset, router running fine and
been reset. I have restated computer, walked
through possible scenarios with tech help, and
disconnected and reconnected
enabled/disabled on the computer side.
Nothing. Sometimes it will be down for hours,
sometimes days, with seemingly no rhyme or
reason.
I have noticed on the network connections page
wireless is connected, but every once in a while
Internet connection will appear and say the
status is disabled. It then disappears before I
can click on it. I have absolutely no control over
when it works again.
I'm also on an unsecured (mine) wireless
network. Could that have anything to do with it?
