cannot boot no os

ok i reformatted from 98 in the msdos. i reboot and thats it nothing. i try to boot from cd nothing happens. i have an msdos disk but it doesnt do much, how do i get the os back on

did i forget to mention this is a laptop with bios systemsoft mobilepro bios version 1.01. also like to update this if possible. i tried using the 2000 install boot disks but it freezes stops and says, windows 2000 booting then thats all nothing else happens

when booting your pc press delete and enter the cmos. here in the cmos go to the second option on left and set your boot sequence to either boot from a stiffy or from the cdrom your choice. once this is done you can now boot into the system and run an fdisk or just format. then you can start reloading your operating system.
