Can NT 4.0/2000 domains share network???

We are going to have a NT 4 and 2000 domain sharing the same 3com switches at my office and both using a cisco 2620 for internet access through one LAN interface? Is this possible? Will they need to be on totally different networks? Thanks in advance for your help.
W2K will ask if you are running pre-W2K domains on your network.
If you are, you can run the W2K domain in a compatibility mode so you can set up domain trusts etc.
