I had 2000 pro on my computer and it crashed. Not knowing how to recover properly I went ahead and formatted my drives. now It will not install 2000 pro, WinMe, or Win98. It keeps giving me error messages with each os. My system is home built and the drivers are: C:Western Digital38400 Caviar 8.4gig, D:Quantum BigFoot C4 4.3gig. The computer worked great till the crash. I have even low level formated both drives and it still will not load any OS. Starts to and then I get the BSOD. It acts as if 2000 pro 32 fat system is not being removed from the drive or the boot sector. What am I not doing? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Link; This question is asked so much there must be 400 postings of how to do the deed. What you need to do is repartition your HDD and then Format it. Look at the top of this page and you will see a search slot. Actually there are 2 slots one is Search, the other is OS type. In the Search slot type in your querry - i.e. Repartitioning Harddrive and then select any of the OS because the proccess is the same for all. Then hit enter. Just read the instructions and go for it. I have no doubt that you will find your answer and fix your problem.

Thanks FJ. I am giving it a shot. I will get back to you if I am unable to correct this problem. I am hoping I will soon because Win 2000 pro is really outstanding! Just want to start in training myself to the new OS.
