I had to reinstall my win2k server (fresh installation) due to some serious trouble. I have three hard drives (7 partitions).
(Note :Before reinstalling, i broke a mirror set which I created in the old installtion.)
But now, I can not copy and paste files in between my server partitions. After I copy when I click right button to paste in another drive or directory the paste option is always grey. If I access the server hard drives thru network, I can copy and paste files from another computer. But locally, I ca not do that. Please provide a solution.

If you are speaking of copy and paste in internet explorer click the tools-internet options-security. In each security item about half way down the list is "drag and drop or copy and paste" items. Check enable and see if that will work for you.

No. It's not abount copying and pasting in IE. It's about normal file/directory copying/moving in the local computer. Suppose I want to copy/move a directory "Sample" from D:\ to C:\, After I click copy and go to C Drive and click the right button The Paste Option is Grey (disabled). The Ctrl+V option is also not working at all. Any help, most welcome. Thanks in advance

You got a virus. Update your virus scanner to the latest dat files and do a scan also download the latest patches.

i also got the similiar problem. i only have one hdd, i could not copy files from one disk to another. i don't know the reason. but after i rebooted my system, everything got well. the situation at that was that i just unistalled my visual c++ and another problem with it was that i could not started my norton anti-virus saying something about "ikernel.exe".
i know little about computer, just for your information.
