Specs: Windows 2000, 72MB
Hello! I wanted to know if i could upgrade to windows 2000 on my old Compaq Presario 1210 laptop. The config. is-

Windows 95(presently running)
Intel Pentium2(250Mhz) processor
24MB ATI A250 VGA graphic card
ASUS Ethernet Card

Actually, I wanted to upgrade to Windows 2000 due to compatibility issues. I asked from my software vendor if I could upgrade to Windows XP, but he said that it requires 128MB RAM, and I do not have it. Secondly, it doesn't supports VGA graphic cards. Thirdly, processor should be more decent(Pentium3).

You should try Win98SE or possibly a lightweight Linux distro like Puppy. The minimum memory for Win2000 is 64MB, but it doesn't run well with that little...72MB isn't much of an improvement. And what is an "ATI A250"? It's not a video card I ever heard of before & googling it comes up empty.

EDIT: I found the following but it doesn't match your system specs.
