I borrowed this computer from a friend and the C: drive was made extremely small. I have 400 megs of folders in my WINNT folder and want to delete them but I am unsure what will happen. Does anyone know if these files and folders are still needed? Here are a couple of folder names in my WINNT folder: $NtUpdateRollupPackUninstall$ $NtUninstallKB896424$ $SQLUninstallMDAC25SP3-KB927779-x86-ENU$
I am guessing these were temp type folders for updates that are no longer needed. Any thoughts?

"I borrowed this computer from a friend". Do you really think YOU should be doing that to your friend's computer. You infer there is other space on the computer. If you need space to store things use the free space.

NTUninstall folders can be removed without consequence after a period of time. I agree with oth though. If it's not your machine, then don't mess around with it without your friend's permission.
How large is the drive, and how much free space is there?
